We rented from Ace for a 17 day trip. The website and phone conversations with Ace gave us sufficient information to get an idea of the models available and we were able to find an RV (Winnebago Trend) that fit our budget and trip time. Ace was very accommodating with my quote requests as I had to make several changes based on my last minute planning. The unit was ready when we got there was clean and we got a quick run down before leaving. During our trip we had a couple questions and Ace was quick to respond. We also had two minor issues with the RV (not Ace's fault but Winnebago) and Ace was helpful in trying to get a repair and makeshift fix until we got back so that we didn't waste valuable vacation time at the RV service center nearest us. - Damon B.

Just returned from a week long rental (#26-Thor) and had a GREAT experience! I don't believe I have ever taken the time to write a review on any business....however, I was very close to cancelling our reservation after I stumbled upon so many poor reviews online. Our experience was nothing like the reviews I have seen others posting. In fact, our experience was so good I felt it only fair to let others that may be looking to rent an RV know how things went for us.

The RV we rented was in excellent condition, both inside and out. We had a complete walk-thru of the vehicle prior to driving off with it....and a full understanding of how everything worked. And, of course...they tested each thing to demonstrate for us how things operated.

Lola in the office was extremely helpful and as it turned out knew more about our State Farm auto policy then our State Farm agent did. She could have easily just sold us one of their insurance policies but instead sent us back to our agent with the proper form numbers and everything.

This was our family's first RV outing and it will not be our last. I would also not hesitate to be a repeat customer with ACE.

I rented an RV for my son's bachelor party in April. Our experience with ACE RV was 5 star from beginning to end. I was hesitant to rent sight-unseen on the internet and grilled Ali with numerous questions. Ali was informative, patient, and professional throughout. More important, the RV was new and clean (2015 big, spacious and spotless), Ali provided clear instructions, and when we returned the vehicle, he made the process easy and refunded our deposit within 24 hours. My family and I took a large trip through the mountains and 7 states. We rented the RV from Ace and we're surprised, yet absolutely thrilled with how well everything went. Doing a trip of this scale almost guarantees some hardships yet we had none.

The staff at Ace prepared us for everything we needed to know in our first RV extravaganza. They also left us with a guide in case we had problems. They were professional and thorough. I was very impressed with the level of service they gave us and look forward to renting from them again.

The RV was clean and well maintained. There were a couple of small things but nothing worth mentioning. It was just the right size and we all enjoyed bed hopping around.

Our family of 6 plus 3 dogs just took our first road trip in an RV. Obviously, we did our research on rental companies. I was concerned due to negative reviews, however, I read all the reviews and found that many of the poor reviews were from 2 years ago or longer, while within the last year, most were quite positive.

We rented the 33 ft A class and listened to the rental company representatives, paying attention to their recommendations. We paid for additional insurance to help feel comfortable with the unknown.

We had a great holiday and the RV performed exactly as described. The rental company was polite at all times, returned our security deposit, less agreed upon charges for dogs and pump out and even meet us on Sunday for the drop off process. We highly recommend this company, and highly recommend that you read all the reviews before making a decision. We will be back to rent again.

I had a very good experience. I have used another company in the past. I chose ACE because they are the only company that rents the large "A" class Pursuit. I also have a friend who recommended them. The RV was in great condition, performed well and comfortably accommodated a large family. We had a great weekend! Ali and Lola were very helpful. I received a very good briefing on how everything worked and an emergency phone number if I had any problems-I did not. I was a little hesitant about the $1500 deposit, but it was returned promptly and in full upon my return of the vehicle in good condition. I will continue to do business with ACE. - Gene V.

This was our first time renting an RV, had a 32 ft coachman. It ran well, was clean upon arrival and we were given a quick tutorial before we headed off. Two perks to renting from Ace, they will pick you up at Dulles and they even sent one of their mechanics to the music festival we were attending two & a half hours away (just in case any of their customers had issues over the weekend). Apparently, they rented a slew of RV's to those of us headed to the festival. Talk about going above & beyond, wow!

If you've read this far I will throw in that I too, was concerned about previous reviews. Upon inquiring it turns out Ace was hooked up with another RV company until a year or so ago which is where you will see the majority of unhappy reviews. They are family owned & operated now and provide outstanding service from start to finish! It was a hassle free experience that made our time in the Blue Ridge Mtns all the more perfect. Ace hasn't seen the last of us!

First off...some of these reviews below really scared me and I almost didnt even call these guys. I almost went with a national RV company that plasters their name all over the RV and their RV's arent even as nice.

Now that I have experience renting an RV, I can tell some of the comments below are likely because the users didnt pay attention or follow directions.

I had a great experience. I rented the 2016 Coachmen Leprechaun 320BH. Its 32 feet and I was very intimidated. Only took about 30 minutes to really feel comfortable with it. It was huge and spacious for 5 people. 4 TV's (even though we didnt use them), big/comfy beds (I can see it sleeping more if u have small kids), shower/AC/generator/toilet/stove/etc all worked. This really was a little apartment on wheels. When the sides pushed out at night, it was ridiculous how much room we had.

Warnings: listen to the people at Ace RV and ask questions. Read the manual they give you. Some things to remember are tricky in the beginning until you get the hang of it (AC cant be on more than 2 hours at a time when car isnt running, how to empty black/grey tanks, cant run microwave when something else is on - I cant remember since we didnt use microwave, if you smell gas...you likely accidentally turned the knob on the stove to "light", etc).

I cleaned the RV thoroughly and didnt hit or break anything on my trip and got the full security deposit back a few days after I returned the RV.

The people were friendly and helpful also. Again, I had a fantastic experience and feel compelled to share since Im sure other first timers are like me and probably check Yelp for real user reviews. Im sure theres always that 10% that goes wrong so some bad reviews below are likely that. Unfortunate, yes, but I didnt have any problems and it was a trip of a lifetime! I now want to buy my own RV one day!

My wife and I made a last minute decision to rent an RV and take the family "camping" over Labor Day weekend. Our experience with ACE RV Rental could not have been better! The staff was professional, friendly, and most importantly - thorough. They have a wide selection of RVs that are meticulously maintained, and we found exactly what we were looking for. Without my asking, they noticed that I was a member of USAA and extended a military discount. A very nice surprise! I can't say enough about ACE. We rented an RV from Ace RV Rental in Herndon, and had a wonderful experience. We were late making a decision to rent, so when they didn't have my first choice, they did everything they could to accommodate me. I ended up with a different RV than I wanted, but it was perfect, especially since this was my inaugural experience. The staff (Ali, Lola, and Heather) were so friendly and helpful.

The RV was ready when they said it would. Heather went through everything, and was very patient as we asked a lot of questions. The RV was clean, fully fueled, and road-ready.

Unfortunately, we had a minor accident with the RV. I immediately called Heather, and she couldn't have been more understanding and helpful.

I can't wait for our next trip. I would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone.

Outstanding experience with Ace RV Rental!!! I must admit, I was a little reluctant at first because there were a few negative reviews but was more than ecstatic on the overall experience. Both Lola and Heather provided great customer service. They knew I was a first-time RV renter and took the time to walk me through the forms and the initial inspection of the vehicle prior to departure. Ali was also outstanding explaining some of the features and helping me with mounting the child seats. The RV was clean and well maintained. They also promptly answered an after-hours call from me to address my questions on late turn-in. I definitely plan to use them again in the future....great customer experience! - Gary B.

We had a fantastic experience renting from Ace RV. When we first came to look at RVs months before our trip, they showed us some older models and then told us they were getting some brand-new Winnebagos and that they would recommend us renting one of those for just a fraction more. Everything was disclosed up front: insurance, additional costs, etc. When we decided a month before our trip that we wanted to add an extra day it was no problem. They even let us pick up the RV the night before so that we would have time to pack it.

Once we were on the road we had a few issues - they were very responsive and supportive while we were on the road. They texted/called to make sure we were ok once the issue were resolved. Never once did they make us feel like we were calling about something unimportant.

I highly recommend ACE RV rental and will definitely use them again in the future. We miss the Winnebago and loved our trip!

The RV was 100% perfect. It was clean, it was prepared. The staff (Heather and Lola) we soooo kind, and very informative. They patiently waited through all my questions, even when I had to call from the road. I had a blown fuse, they helped me find the problem, i got a replacement fuse, and they reimbursed me. Awesome business. They were always clear on the process, the charges, the billing, and payments. Most of all, they made us feel special, as part of the RVing community. I just read some of the Yelp reviews and I'm confused??? I have now rented an RV from Ace Rental two years in a row and both times have been a great. Has the RV been 100% perfect? Not at all and there were a few small issues with the RVs. However, Ace has always taken care of them and over the 10 years of renting RVs I have learned that stuff happens!!! I will say that their RVs and service to 1000% better than other National Companies (like Cruise America). I WILL be renting another RV from Ace next year without thinking twice!!! - Pat F.
